Cross country practice will begin Monday, August 19. Practice will be from 3:00-4:30 after school five days a week. There will be some exceptions to this, which will be noted in a practice schedule athletes will receive as the season gets underway.
PLEASE make sure that you have a current physical on file in the office BEFORE practice on August 19th. Students CANNOT participate without a physical on file.
Athletes will need to wear running shoes and dress appropriately for running outside regardless of the weather conditions. It is also recommended that they bring a water bottle as we often are running some distance from the building and as a general rule do not come inside for water breaks.
The cross country team meets in the commons area at 3:00 to begin practice as the locker rooms are being used for volleyball and football.
There are not “tryouts” for cross country. All runners make the team.
We will have 7 cross country meets. Race distance is 2 miles for all runners.
