April Poff
My name is Mrs. Poff and I am a third year sixth grade interrelated teacher here at BLMS who loves what I do every day. My job is so much fun because I get to support students all over the building and help them be better writers. I love the quirky and fun age of sixth grade and enjoy helping students navigate figuring out middle school.
I have a bachelors in art education from K-State and a masters in special education from the University of Kansas. This is my fifth year of teaching in English classrooms. I taught elementary art for six years before that. I live in Tongie currently and spend time in the Basehor/ Tongie area in my free time. When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my seven month old Matthew and two and a half year old Joshua. I love to drink coffee, be creative/ artsy, and to travel any free chance I get.
