Welcome to Basehor-Linwood Middle School, Home of the Bobcats!

Basehor-Linwood Middle School (BLMS) is committed to providing a quality education for middle school students.  Middle School is a time of change. The workloads and social adjustments are greater here than at the elementary level.  Additionally, the school is larger, there are more students, and instead of one teacher in one classroom, your child will have a separate teacher for each subject area.  There are many perks to being in middle school.  Students have the opportunity to join clubs and participate in sports at the 7th and 8th grade levels, and take introductory courses that will help them decide what classes they want to take at the high school level.

Our goal at BLMS is to challenge your child academically.  Our 1:1 student/laptop ratio, MTSS tier intervention time, creation of student individual plans of study, new CTE course offerings, and advisory times committed to the social/emotional development of students; shows our commitment to being a leader in the success of all our students.  We are looking forward to a great school year filled with enriching activities and learning experiences that will help your child, “Reach Individual Success!”

If you are an incoming sixth grader, it is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to Basehor-Linwood Middle School. If you are one of our returning seventh or eighth graders, I look forward to your return as we “Reach for Success” in the 22-23 school year.
